ABOUT THE GAME

YŌTEI is a town-building board game inspired by the real nature, culture, and people of the Mt. Yōtei area in Hokkaido, Japan. Players use potatoes as currency to develop their town while balancing growth and nature. Featuring locally made wooden components crafted in Niseko using Hokkaido wood, YŌTEI combines strategy, sustainability, and authentic local charm.

YŌTEIは、北海道・羊蹄山麓の自然や文化、人々の暮らしをテーマにした町づくりボードゲームです。プレイヤーはジャガイモを通貨として町を発展させ、自然とのバランスを取りながら魅力ある町を作っていきます。ニセコの工房で北海道産木材を使って製作された木製コマも特徴です。

FAQ

ゲームを知らなくても参加できますか？ / Can I join if I've never played before?
参加は可能ですが、YŌTEIのルールはボードゲーム初心者にはやや複雑なため、事前に数回プレイされてからご参加いただくことを強くおすすめします。ルールは公式YouTube動画（日本語版 / English）で事前に確認できます。また、19日の体験会でも練習できますので、ぜひご活用ください。

You're welcome to join, but please be aware that YŌTEI's rules can be quite complex for first-time players. We highly recommend playing a couple of times before coming to the tournament. Check out our official rules video on YouTube (Japanese / English) to get familiar beforehand. There's also a demo session on July 19th — a great chance to practice!
子どもだけで参加できますか？ / Can children join without a parent?
8歳以上であれば参加可能です。18歳未満の方は保護者の同意が必要です。なお、大人・子ども混合試合になりますので、保護者の方と一緒にご観覧いただけます。

Players must be 8 years or older. For those under 18, parental consent is required. Since it's a mixed-age tournament, parents are welcome to watch and cheer from the sidelines!
ゲームを持参する必要がありますか？ / Do I need to bring my own game?
いいえ、ゲームセットはこちらでご用意します。手ぶらでお越しください！

No! We'll have all the game sets ready. Just bring yourself and your competitive spirit!
参加費はかかりますか？ / Is there an entry fee?
参加費は 300円 です。当日受付にてお支払いください。

The entry fee is ¥300, payable at the venue on the day.
場所はどこですか？ / Where exactly is the venue?
会場は NISEKO-YO（ニセコビレッジ内） のKUMAGERAブースです。ニコニコサマーフェスティバル 2026の会場内にて開催します。会場への駐車場は特設駐車場①②をご利用ください（徒歩でのアクセス）。

The tournament is held at the KUMAGERA booth inside NISEKO-YO, Niseko Village — part of the Niko Niko Summer Festival 2026. Special parking lots 1 & 2 are available nearby, with a short walk to the venue.
エントリー後にキャンセルできますか？ / Can I cancel after signing up?
キャンセルの場合は、7月10日（木）までにご連絡ください。それ以降のキャンセルはご対応が難しい場合があります。

If you need to cancel, please let us know by July 10th (Thursday). Cancellations after that date may not be accommodated.
